I felt very blessed and thankful to have the opportunity to travel to Bloomington, Illinois for 3 days in order to spread, share and testify about God’s love, forgiveness and the relationship we can have with Him. It was also very exciting for me because it was my very first mission trip.

Overall it was an amazing trip. My days consisted of teaching breakdancing classes to local kids at a place called The Hub. Also, each member of the Break Free team shared our testimonies of how God has redeemed our lives, which I had the opportunity to do at our first class. In the afternoons we went to a different park each day. We worshipped God through music, there was food, and of course breakdancing! This brought people from the communities and allowed us to share the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I especially built great relationships with the kids. They were excited to learn breakdancing and they were very attentive when it came time learn about God’s word and hear our testimonies.

What I will always remember was the love shown to the people and to us by the Christian families who made this possible. They gave their time and resources because they want to see God change Bloomington, for Him to be known and to be glorified. This encourages me to also focus on the community where I live. I want people to know God and feel His love and grace that He offers for us. Being with my Break Free team members was fun and full of learning and blessings. We all came together because we love breakdancing but most importantly for the cause of spreading God’s message of salvation.
